Since the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre opened its doors, Anton Augustine has served as Catering Manager. This week, he retires. For the past 11 years, Anton has led the catering team and has been instrumental in forming client relationships and maintaining a services standard that is recognized across Perth.
Anton’s career milestone started overseas before moving to the Hyatt in Perth prior to moving to PCEC in 2004 to take on the challenge of leading a team of 180 staff is the largest banqueting operation in Perth. His career has impacted and influenced many in such positive ways that his contributions will always be valued and remembered.
“As we farewell Anton, we recognize his professional endeavours, and I am thankful for the time spent working together and getting to know him, his dedication and enthusiasm over the years have helped to create a dominating catering team in Perth, gaining over 30 industry awards during his tenure” says Neil Mather, Director of Food & Beverage, LSE WA.
The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre wishes Anton well as he looks forward to his retirement and spending more time with his wife Winnie and his beloved grandchildren.However many PCEC clients have requested Anton attend their events later this year, such is the legend of the man, so both the venues client and the team at PCEC may be graced with his appearance in the months to come!
