Oman Convention Bureau has announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa (MEA) to promote Oman as a key MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) destination.
Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA currently operates 4 properties in Oman: Grand Millennium Muscat, Millennium Executive Apartments Muscat, Millennium Resort Mussanah and Millennium Resort Salalah. All of them are well equipped with MICE facilities including meeting rooms that range in size from 27sqm to 330 sqm, a 24-hour business center, all day dining options, complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity and tailor-made packages to suit the needs of industry professionals.
The Millennium Resort Salalah features the largest ballroom in Salalah that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests while the Grand Millennium Muscat has a ballroom occupying a space of 1181 sqm. Along with Oman Tourism and Oman Convention Bureau, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA will also host mega key familiarization trips to the destination to promote Oman as an ideal destination for the MICE tourism sector.
Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA will introduce combined sales and marketing strategies with emphasis on the MICE agents and potential clients.
Alexander Suski, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA, believes that with the new infrastructural and hospitality developments in the country, Oman will soon become a preferred hub for MICE activities.
The recent infrastructure developments such as the new Muscat International Airport, that will provide direct flights to dozens of destinations, will also offer support for the MICE sector and boost tourism in the Sultanate – supporting Oman Tourism Strategy 2040.
